Part of the reason I decided to start DJing is because I love sharing my music discoveries with people, and consequentially proving that I'm a really badass chick with fucking killer music taste. The other reason is that I truly do love discovering music and getting my mind blown by musicians I never knew existed.

Last night, Warren played this song by The Scientists, and I've been listening to them all day today.

The Scientists, as described on their Wiki page, are an influential "post-punk"  band from Perth, Australia, formed in 1978. The details of how this band started and evolved is a bit confusing: "The band had two primary incarnations: the Perth-based punk band of the late 1970s and the Sydney/London-based swamp rock band of the 1980s." Prior to The Scientists, Kim Salmon (the brainchild behind the band), formed the Cheap Nasties, then left them to go to The Manikins, and then again on to The Exterminators, who would change their name to The Invaders. The Invaders then became The Scientists. Got all that? Good.

Check 'em out.
