My friend Dirk Knibbe bought me a copy of Nirvana's "Nevermind" on cassette for my birthday this year, and ever since it's been on pretty much nonstop rotation in my car.

"Something in the Way," the last song on the track (the original last song - this would later be replaced by the hidden track "Endless, Nameless") kind of blows me away every time I hear it.

There's a gossip rumor that Kurt wrote this song when he was living under a bridge in his home town of Aberdeen, but I think this song might be a glimpse into his psyche, and the bridge merely a metaphorical weight he had on his mind, or the depression from which he was constantly struggling beneath.
