I woke up this morning with The Black Angels on my mind. I only own two albums by them: Phosgene Nightmare, a special 10'' they released last year, and "I'd Rather Be Lonely / Watch Out Boy", a special 45 released only on Record Store Day.

The only time I've ever seen them play was in 2009 or 2010, I can't remember, high on shrooms in Pioneertown. It was amazing. 

The Black Angels just finished touring with my buddies Allah-las across the country. They're playing (sans the las) in LA on May 21st at the Mayan downtown, one of my favorite venues.
