I've been on a Walking Dead marathon for the past week, and I just finished watching Season 1. Thoughts: it's kind of insane how violent and bloody television is, especially when it's not on HBO, and sure AMC pushes the limits, I mean look at Mad Men, with all the fucking and cursing and smoking that goes on. Not that I'm complaining. I love gore. I especially love when zombies get their fucking heads blown open. But the horse in episode 2 when homeboy sheriff rides into Atlanta to save the world - not chill.

Dylan's "Tomorrow is a long time" starts rolling at the climax, when the cars pile on the freeway, steadfast in their journey to rid the living world of the walking dead. I haven't heard this song in years. And guess what, first two videos that pop up on YouTube say "Walking Dead" in the subject line. Sad that people only discover great music through television sometimes, but hey, it brought me back to the song.

And what's with AMC getting licensing to fucking killer tunes lately? The Beatles "Tomorrow Never Knows" and the Beach Boys' "I Just Wasn't Made For These Times" (my favorite song on Pet Sounds) were both played on Mad Men Season 5. Into it.

Best line from this song, "Sometimes I feel very sad." Duh.

The end.
